Product Review: Brush with Bamboo – Bamboo Toothbrush

So in continuing with my transition towards more natural products, I decided to try a Bamboo Toothbrush, so I ordered two from Petal & Post, one for me and one for my very environmentally conscious Mum (who was recycling and composting before it was cool – go Mum!)

BAMBOO TOOTHBRUSH BY BRUSH WITH BAMBOO, Petal & Post $6.50 CDN

Here are some of the great things about this toothbrush:

  1. It is 100% environmentally conscious – none of this toothbrush needs to go to the landfill! The bristles of the toothbrush can be recycled, as well as the box, the handle of the toothbrush can be composted and the wrapper around the toothbrush in the box can be commercially composted where facilities are available!
  2. The bristles itself are soft! But not so soft that they don’t clean at all. Any woman that is or has been pregnant knows that your mouth goes through the ringer while pregnant, and soft bristles are honestly a life saver!
  3. It is long lasting, comparable to a plastic toothbrush
  4. It is North American made (California based company) and is very affordable!

Brush with Bamboo has a great website with videos on how to properly dispose of your Bamboo toothbrush when you are finished with it, and even some upcycling ideas if you are interested in using the toothbrush even more before disposing of it!

After using this toothbrush for a little longer than a month, I am absolutely in love with this toothbrush, my gums are happy, my teeth are clean and the environment isn’t going to see another plastic toothbrush from me!

I absolutely recommend this bamboo toothbrush to anyone looking for a switch to environmentally conscious products that are still effective!

Have YOU tried an environmentally conscious toothbrush? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

Amanda xo.
