12 Days of Christmas 2018

Goals for 2019

Hello everyone, welcome to the second to last post in my 12 Days of Christmas, tomorrow will be my last post of 2018, and I’m using all of this motivation and inspiration to continue this on into 2019! I’ll be turning 30 a few days into the year, so watch a post on leaving my 20’s, because I have some thoughts! But that’s not for about a week and a half so let’s get at the task at hand!

Here are my goals for 2019:

Exercise More

I won’t lie to you, I was a SUPER active person before I got pregnant, I haven’t been so much since my c-section. My recovery was hard, and I fell out of the habit. I have some new exercise cards coming and a membership to our local Rec Centre. My goal is to head to the Rec Centre 2-3 times a week and exercise at home at least twice a week. As long as I stay consistent I should be able to keep that up, but ask me again in February how that’s going.

Ah reading, that’s one of my past times that I really took for granted before G was in my life, I have finished less than ten books in 2018. I have never read that small of an amount ever! Most of what I read were actually paid assignments or advanced reader copies for reviews! My goal is to read at least twelve novels in 2019, one a month. It really shouldn’t be that hard to read 300 pages in a month, I hope.

Enter 5 Craft Sales/Fairs

So I launched a new Etsy Shop this fall, and while I haven’t made any sales yet, I’m hoping that in 2019 I can enter craft sales and fairs to get my items into the hands of people who would appreciate them! My sewing in improving all the time, watch this space and my main Etsy Shop for my re-launch in the New Year!

Spend Time Outside Every Day

This one really shouldn’t be as hard as I make it out to be. I act like it’s such an ordeal to get G weather ready and spend time outside, and it really isn’t, because he loved it outside! Even if we just sit on our back deck and get some fresh air.

Double the Views on My Blog

2018 was a great year for my blog, I have a post getting views daily and I’ve had some great opportunities, but I know I can do better. I need to get better at promoting myself, keeping to my schedule (which is normally every week, Tuesdays and Fridays, and I haven’t kept to that as of late) and branching out. I haven’t even ventured into Pinterest yet because it would meet creating a whole new set of graphics for all of my posts and I just keep putting it off!

Become an influencer/ambassador at local (YEG) events

I went to an event this Christmas season that my Instagram fell short on qualifying as an ambassador for the event, so I’ve made it a goal to qualify next year! I also would love to throw my name in the hat for other cool events I’ve seen other bloggers taking part in, I’m 100% ready to be an Albertan and show everyone what a great region of Canada we live in!

Sew a Full Outfit

My sewing board on Pinterest is FULL of great outfit patterns, tutorials and inspiration, and thanks to the great sewing machine Jared bought me for Christmas, I finally have a machine that my projects won’t outgrow like the one I had been using! I will be attempting full fleece pajamas for G once our vacation madness has calmed down, and I hope to make him a car seat poncho as he will be outgrowing his fleece hoodie soon. Expect more sewing related posts in the new year, and I hope you all stick around through those, because I am loving sewing lately!

Make An Alberta Bucket List and visit as many places as possible

There is SO much to discover and explore in Alberta and I cannot wait to dive more into it! From hiking trails to museums, historical sites to parks, we are all in for taking in all Alberta has to offer! Watch for this post in the New Year, I am working on a list right now!

What are YOUR goals for 2019? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
