Our Favourite Board Books (Right Now)

Hello everyone! Happy World Book Day! Today G and I are going to show you our favourite board books currently! We give him total access to his books all the time, and while at almost 18 months he doesn’t really sit and listen to a whole story all the time, he still definitely loves his books! These books are perfect for story telling, and make great gifts for the small children in your life (or great for Baby’s First Library books at a Baby Shower!)

1. Don’t Push the Button by Bill Cotter

This book is SILLY and super interactive, it’s a favourite of G’s but was also a favourite of my Story Timers back in my library days!

Available in Board Book, Hardcover and Kindle editions HERE.

2. “That’s Not My …” Series by Fiona Watt and Rachel Wells

These books from Usborne are Touchy-Feely books, in which every page has a different texture for your child to interact with, we have 10 of these books! G was obsessed with them at our local library and I let our families know and he got a bunch of them for Christmas!

You can find many of the titles to choose from HERE.

3. Dinosaur Kisses by David Ezra Stein

I love stories that you can be big and loud with, and as silly as you want! G loves that we can STOMP, CHOMP and WHOMP while the dinosaur Dinah searches for someone to kiss!

You can buy it HERE

4. Belly Button Book by Sandra Boyton

This is a book that G often pulls off the shelf by himself and flips though, again it is a book that you could read as calmly or as silly as you want, and G loves whenever the tiny hippo says “Bee bo” instead of belly button!

You can buy it HERE

5. Underwater Doggies by Seth Casteel

These two books by Seth Casteel are HILARIOUS! I first discovered these books while working at the Library and the kids there loved them! Casteel takes underwater pictures of dogs diving into the water and the results are amazing! They truly capture the silly nature of most dogs!

You can pick up Underwater Doggies 1,2,3 HERE and Underwater Doggies Colors HERE

We of course have more but five is a good number for this post!
