In Bloody Coffee, we follow Leigh Stone, whose world has been turned upside down when she turns 18 and her mother gives Leigh her diaries which reveal that the father she’s always known is not her birth father. Leigh heads to Tel Aviv, Israel, where her mother is from, to find the man her mother implies is her birth father – A Tel Aviv doctor named Dr. Sloan, whom her mother had an affair with before leaving to America, where she had Leigh and raised her with Dr. Steve Stone. When Leigh books herself in for an appointment with Dr. Sloan to confront her probable father, he suffers cardiac arrest and she’s afraid the man she needed to confirm was her father would die.
Encountering a bit more drama than she was expecting, Leigh has to navigate the Israeli legal system and her changing relationship with her mother, all while keeping a close relationship with her ‘step’ father Steve and a blossoming relationship with the handsome resident Dankner. Despite the advice of everyone around her, she decides to seek the truth, regardless of the consequences.
