This week in Story Time, we read Shark vs Train by Chris Barton and Tom Lichtenfield, and we did this cute shark craft inspired by I Heart Craft Things:
Supplies are easy:
- Blue, white and black construction paper
- Googly eyes
- Newspaper
Head over to I heart Crafty Things for the step by step instructions!
I chose to go through the paper and find articles with no pictures and little to no special text in the space where I free drew my shark body. I used a square paper bunch for the teeth and cut the square into four equal little triangles. I just free cut semi circles in the black construction paper for the mouths.
This is such a great craft! If you are at home with newspapers that you’ve read once, try this craft out with this kids! Don’t forget to Reuse, Reduce and Recycle!
