Hello everyone! If you’re a Mom like me, you like to know exactly what goes into your child(ren)’s food and snacks! I make a lot of G’s snacks from scratch so I can basically control exactly what goes into them, but also have some fun with them in the process! Today I’m going to talk about the fun popsicles I’ve been making for G!

Here’s what you’ll need:
⁃ popsicle moulds (I have and love this set from IKEA, but Amazon and Walmart also have great options)
⁃ Blender or food processor
Any combination of:
⁃ Fruit (fresh, frozen or canned)
⁃ Caffeine-free herbal tea
⁃ Apple Sauce (flavour of your choice)
Here’s what I do:
In an effort to introduce G to different flavours and flavour combinations, I’ve been playing around with the combinations. Here are a few a I’ve done recently that G loved:
⁃ Blended Peaches with Peach Tea
⁃ Blended berries with Strawberry tea
⁃ Blended Blood oranges, raspberries with Peach tea
⁃ Blended Blueberries, Blueberry Apple Sauce and Peach Tea
⁃ Blended Peaches with Fruitsations + Veggies Apple Sauce and Davids Tea Forever Nuts tea
And my one attempt that G wasn’t so into but I really liked:
⁃ Blended Strawberry with Rose Hip and Hibiscus Tea
I know some people just drop pieces of fruit into their popsicles, but I wanted to make enough for popsicles and then put the excess into a juice jug for fun smoothie drinks without all of the sugar of store bought ones!
The possibilities are endless to make your own popsicles for your kids this summer! Especially when the weather is hot and they want to spend the whole day in the sun!
Have YOU ever tried to homemade popsicles? What are your favourites? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
