Hello everyone! First off, I want to say how proud of myself I am with all of the recent blogging, adjusting to the new town hasn’t gone as smoothly as I expected (Alberta is the fourth province I’ve lived in after all) and I’ve been busy unpacking and setting up our new house! I figured I would write a blog post about my favourite baby products from the last year. I’ve decided to include “useful” products in this post, and I will do another post on my favourite toys and books.
- Fisher Price High Chair
This high chair is AMAZING! It will last us until G is ready to sit at the table without a booster seat. It is easy to clean, convertible and doesn’t take up a lot of space!

2. Anti-Colic Bottles
As I’ve told you in previous posts, G was very colicky for a period of time, these bottles made a HUGE difference to us!
Philips Avent Anti-Colic BPA Free Baby bottle, 9-Ounce, 3-pack
3. White noise machine
G has used white noise in some form or another most of his life, it helped us sleep train, it’s the only reason he naps sometimes and I’m not even going to lie that he’s likely dependent on it. That’ll be a bridge that we’ll cross when he’s older, because we ALL need the sleep.

4. Hanging storage
Babies come with so much STUFF. I swear at least 60% of what we moved with was all for G, storage options are a MUST. I feel as if we have bins everywhere full of his stuff but I really like these bins for the fact that they hang off the door, the require no holes in the walls and they keep the items out of G’s reach! I also use a few of these in my craft room!

5. Baby Gates
One day G discovered the stairs and my life was 100% more complicated. Sure, he can climb the stairs pretty well, but he also tries to sit down ever few steps. Plus he is too small to do the stairs on his own. A good gate is a must! They become a long time fixture in your life as a parent, so it’s helpful if they look good as well. Of the 4 different gates that we have in our house, this one is our favourite!

6. Out-Smart baby proofing
I don’t remember when drawers and cupboards were the most fun a girl could have but G certainly thinks it’s the most fun a boy could have currently. I’m not a fan of the pinched fingers and the safety of my kitchen items. We found the best baby proofing locks for our corner cabinets, they have a decoy button! G presses every button he sees and this is PERFECT, he will never get those cabinets open and my heavy kitchen stuff is safe.

7. Cloth diapers
I of course have been super vocal about my cloth diapering journey with G, and I’m super proud that we still cloth diaper! The wash routine is just second nature, and I no longer feel guilty for the times we choose to use disposables! Here is a great starter set that I use and is about half of my stash:

8. Change Table
When I bought a used change table so many people said that I would never use it, and while we took a 3 month hiatus from it while we lived at my parents’ house, we are back to using it as if we never stopped! I like having all of the diapers and supplies all in one spot and there is nowhere for G and his naked bum to run off to! While the one I have is discontinued, this one is very close!

9. Stroller
The amount of times I’ve traveled alone with G on it’s own justifies the hardcore stroller I have, it also was a travel system that the bucket seat clipped into which made it super easy to nip into the grocery store, go for a walk when it was a bit colder, and to give him a place to nap when we were out and about. Our stroller just lives in our main vehicle because we use it so often.

10. Car seat
While I held onto the bucket seat as long as I could, my in-laws bought my dream car seat for G’s birthday and we LOVE it! It is extremely adjustable, works for rear-facing all the way to booster and we are so happy that it turned out as amazing as we were hoping. I have never researched anything quite like this car seat, I’m notorious for finding a product I think I’ll like and committing to it. We test drove a vehicle while I was pregnant that logically never would have worked for our family and I cried so hard when Jared reminded me that it had none of the features we were actually looking for, we ended up getting a way better vehicle anyways. While this car seat is a bit on the pricey side, it often goes on sale, so add it to your wish list and Amazon will notify you when it goes on sale! It is well worth the money!
